Karri Hand Sanitiser is a colourless liquid that is invisible on application. It forms an antimicrobial barrier on the skin and will not stain clothing nor will it stain the skin.
Does it contain alcohol?
Unlike other hand sanitizers, which can contain 60 -70% alcohol and can be very drying, Karri Hand Sanitiser does not contain any alcohol. On application Karri Hand Sanitiser leaves hands soft and moisturised.
When Karri Hand Sanitiser is applied to the hands, will it allow the skin to function normally e.g. produce its own oil and sweat?
Yes. Karri Hand Sanitiser does not inhibit the normal function of the skin. The silicate layer produced by application of Karri Hand Sanitiser and which bonds to the skin is transparent to gasses and allows the skin to "breath" normally. It has a tendency to reduce moisture loss, hence a moisturizing agent.
Can people with very thin skin use Karri Hand Sanitiser?
There is no data to show that Karri Hand Sanitiser will add to skin thinning. It is believed the thin film of AMOSILQ will add a strengthening layer that also protects against pathogens.
Is Karri Hand Sanitiser also a good moisturising agent?
Karri Hand Sanitiser is an aqueous solution and hence is the ultimate moisturiser (adding water to the skin). Alcohol based skin sanitisers remove moisture (and oils) from the skin by dissolving the moisture and causing rapid evaporation. This dries out the skin, promoting cracking and peeling.
Does the use of Karri Hand Sanitiser make the hands appear softer?
Yes. The softness experienced with Karri Hand Sanitiser usage is due to the skin retaining moisture first introduced by the application of Karri Hand Sanitiser and secondly by the AMOSILQ layer lubricating and restricting further loss of moisture from the skin.
